Brushes v3.5

Hopefully this is the last update I’ll have to make for a while…

Changelog

  • Added a new brush: ditherize.bs, which converts existing pixels to a dither pattern based on either their alpha (transparency) value or their proximity to your foreground & background colors.
    • Note: this brush always draws the background color. If you want to delete the background: switch to the background color, go to the top bar and click Select→Select Foreground Color Range. That will select every pixel with the background color so you can delete the background.
  • Added a new parameter to the dithering & hatching brushes: Spacing.
    • Increasing this value makes the brush draw less often, improving performance at the cost of making curves more jagged and uneven (may not be noticeable depending on the pattern density). A value of around 2 to 4 works decently well for standard drawing if you’re having lag issues.
    • It’s especially useful for quickly filling in a large area with a dithering or hatching pattern.
  • Added a couple of new brush variants: hatch2a.bs and dither2a.bs.
    • I wanted to include the new Spacing option on these brushes, but they already were full on parameters. dither2a.bs is probably fine to use instead of dither2b.bs, but I have a feeling most people will find the change to hatch2a.bs to be cumbersome.
  • hatch2.bs: Fixed main angle 1 not working.
  • hatch2.bs: Fixed angles 1 and 3 having irregular patterns (I changed the rounding behavior without thinking…).
